What is Ocean Pollution?
Our oceans are amazing! They cover more than 70% of Earth's surface and are home to millions of different creatures, from tiny plankton to giant whales.
But there's a problem. Every day, trash and harmful substances end up in our oceans. This is called ocean pollution, and it's hurting the animals and plants that live there.
Ocean pollution can come from many places: litter on beaches, trash that washes down rivers, or even chemicals that get dumped into the water.

Steppy's Fun Fact!
The ocean produces over 50% of the world's oxygen through tiny plants called phytoplankton!
